The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee is the 4th generation Grand Cherokee, maintaining the classic Jeep styling with a modern and sleek body style. New in 2017, Jeep has added a rearview camera and rear parking sensors to the list of standard equipment, and added a new Trailhawk trim package.

The 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee has done an excellent job of straddling the middle ground between contemporary and traditional styling. Compared to previous models, the grille is thinner and smaller. Over the past few years, Jeep has created a model that is stylish, elegant, and still rugged as ever. The LED tail lights give the rear appearance slightly more attitude, completely amplified for the high-performance SRT model. Every 2017 model is equipped with Jeep's standard three spoke steering wheel, center stack of controls, and a 5- inch LCD touch screen for audio control. The interior materials change as the trim levels rise to the Limited, Overland, and Summit models, including real wood trim applied on the doors, dash, and steering wheel.

This five passenger mid-size SUV comes in six trim levels: Laredo, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and SRT. Each trim is available with rear-wheel drive(2WD) or four-wheel drive(4WD) with the exception of the high-performance SRT model, which is solely available as a four-wheel drive.

The Laredo's standard equipment includes 17-inch allow wheels, automatic headlights, cruise control, fog lights, keyless ignition and entry, dual-zone climate control, proximity-key entry, push-button start, a tilt-and-telescopic leather wrapped steering wheel, Bluetooth for phone and audio, six-speaker sound system with a 5-inch touchscreen, voice recognition, USB port, and auxiliary audio jack. Available ptions include running boards, full-size spare tire, trailer hitch receiver, alarm, remote engine start, heated steering wheel, heated front seats, power driver seat, interior cargo shade, remote trunk release, power liftgate, electrochromic rearview mirror, universal garage door opener, satellite radio, smart device integration, wifi hotspot and front tow hooks.

The Limited trim level is equipped with standard 18-inch wheels, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, as well as the 23E package and the Security and Convenience Group. Additionally, it comes with leather upholstery, and eight-way power passenger seat, heated rear seats, additional USB connectivity, a rearview camera and parking sensors. There are optional packages available as additions to the Limited including Off-Road Adventure II Group, adding air suspension and a locking rear differential to the Off-RoadAdventure I group.

The Grand Cherokee's Overland model brings luxury trim to a whole new level. It equips the vehicle with 20-inch wheels, dual chrome exhaust tips, a towing package, power folding mirrors, body colored exterior trim, navigation, an upgrade gauge cluster, a wood rimmed steering wheel, extended leather upholstery, HD radio and the contents of the Luxury Group II package. For both the Limited and the Overland, the Advanced Technology Group includes adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and a forward collision system with automatic braking.

New to the 2017 Grand Cherokee model line is the Trailhawk. Specially equipped for the off-road driver, the Trailhawk features Jeep's heralded Quadra-Drive II four-wheel-drive, electronic limited-slip rear differential, Hill Ascent/Descent control, skid plates, and 18-inch Kevlar-reinforced Goodyear Adventure tires, adjustable air suspension modified for an extra 0.4 inch of ground clearance, and Trailhawk-signature red-painted tow hooks. Jeep will offer this Trailhawk with the standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine as well as with the optional EcoDiesel V-6 and the Hemi V-8.

The highest luxury trim level for the Grand Cherokee is the Summit. This trim is packed with additional features. Amongst them are polished 20-inch wheels, front parking sensors, illuminated door sills, noise reducing glass, and a phenomenal Harmon Kardon sound system.

The SRT model is the high-performance model offered by Jeep. It is equipped comparably to the Summit model without a few features such as the panoramic sunroof and Harmon Kardon audio system. It's added an exclusive 6.4L 475 horsepower V8 engine, 20-inch polished forged aluminum wheels with performance tires, adaptive suspension system, performance steering, Brembo brakes, a limited-slip rear differential, selectable performance modes, a trim specific gauge cluster, leather and suede sport seats, and carbon fiber, interior accents.
